Language over the phone is the most difficult aspect of any language acquisition, but an important one to be familiar and comfortable with in a business setting. With private phone lessons you not only work on your general English skills, but you also do so while perfecting your ability to express yourself over the phone. The times are chosen by you, and can be a weekly set time slot or whenever you have the free time. You can even break the lesson into two 30 mins slots.

General Conversation English

With personalized English lessons designed just for you we cover everything from preparing for your trip abroad to brushing up on your general language skills for work. As it is your lesson and your time we focus on what YOU want. Mailed assignments for reading help us focus on vocab building while providing us with a topic each week to work on our conversational skills. If you want to work on your written skills as well we have a number of options. It is whatever you feel most comfortable with in your learning style. You tell me what you need to optimize your learning style and I provide you with your own personalized English course.

Academic English

Phone lessons are ideal for those who are learning English for academic purposes. Through the use of emailed assignments and homework I offer a personalized language acquisition course designed for your needs. Personalized lessons mean we do not have to work on all aspects of the English language (of course unless you want to!) but that we can concentrate entirely on those aspects that you have difficulty with.

Why Phone Lessons? How It Works:

Phone lessons are by far the most convenient way for you to learn English. Not only do you get to set the time, but you can conduct them from anywhere you want – your office, your home, your friend's – anywhere that you have access to a telephone or a Skype connection. Not only do they offer you flexibility, but the lessons are directly tailored to you and what you need, during the times that you can fit your learning in.

• With phone lessons you get an English program tailored to what you want and need, for less than what you pay for group lessons at a school. There are no text books to buy unless you want to work from a text book. I create the materials and send you links to read. So there are no hidden costs for you.
• Learning a language is often difficult, but that does not mean it does not have to be fun. Everyone has unique interests and areas they like to improve upon. This is how my lessons differ from so many others out there. If you want to improve your vocabulary and enjoy watching movies, then I can build our lessons around a movie theme. You still have regular mailed assignments to read, and we use them as the basis of building everyday English vocabulary while focusing on a topic you enjoy.
• If you want to work on your written and your oral skills then this is still possible with phone lessons. I select your homework based upon what you need. We then use these as the basis of your lessons in order to maximize your learning style. Through the use of online communication programs like Skype and email we can have simultaneous written and audio contact. If you just want to talk, that is fine too!
• Finally, we do not need to have a set time every week. If you know you will be free and wish to hold your spot then we can do that. But you can decide at the end of each lesson when it is best to meet the following week.
